Obituary for Ernistine Daves (Hinson)
Ms. Ernestine Daves, age 85, of Dover, TN, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Diversicare of Dover. She was born May 3, 1934 in Goldsboro, NC, daughter of the late Ernest and Ruth Matthews Hinson. Ms. Daves was a member of the Fort Donelson Pentecostal Church of God. She was very passionate about her belief in the Lord, she loved people, and was a true prayer warrior.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John C. Daves, son, Harvey Otis Griffin, Jr., daughter, Bonnie Gean Daves, three brothers, and four sisters.
Survivors include her sons, Gary D. Griffin, Omaha, AR, Randall Daves, Cartersville, VA, daughters, Robin Adams, Dover, TN, Sharon Stinson, Liberty, KY, Vicky Kennedy, Goldsboro, NC, sister, Octavia Eyers, Dover, TN, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Private family services will be held and burial will be in the Grace Gardens. A public memorial service will be held at a later date. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN.
