Mr. E.D. Barnes, age 90, of Dover, Tennessee, passed away November 19, 2019 at his residence. Born on April 28, 1929 in Model, TN, he is the son of the late Euland Douglas and Della Carr Barnes. E.D. was a member of the Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church, a director for Farm Bureau, former member of Stewart County Board of Education, a farmer, served in the US Army during the Korean War, and retired from the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his two brothers, and four sisters. Survivors include his loving wife Sue Barnes, Dover, TN, sons, Brad and Scott Barnes, daughter, Susan Rhyne, sister, Margaret Lyons, and grandchildren Elyse and Jacob Rhyne.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, November 22, 2019 at Anglin Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Taylor’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, November 21st from 4:00 pm to 7:00pm and Friday from 12:00pm until the time of service. Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
In lieu of memorials, donations may be made to the Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery c/o Carter Cottrell.
