Mrs. Bettye Ward, age 79 of Dover, TN was called home to be with the Lord January 10, 2022 at her residence. She was born July 28, 1942 the beloved daughter of the late Bill and Ruby Evans. Before retiring, she worked for the Stewart County School System in the cafeteria. She was an avid reader, loved Elvis Presley music and watching TV. She loved the Lord and attended Dover First Church of the Nazarene. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to many.

Those left behind to cherish her memory, sons; Dale Ward (Donna) of Dover, TN, Anthony Ward (Karen) of Indian Mound, TN, daughters; Michelle Robertson (Randy) of Dover, TN, Mae Knight (Rick), loving husband of 37 years, Ray Ward of Dover, TN, brother; Billy Evans of Springville, Tn, sister; Terri Redmon (Randall) of Big Rock, TN, grandchildren; Cathy Ward, Abby Shope (Seth), Michael Ward (Mandi), Justin Ward (Lorin), Garren Robertson (Cassie), Ella Robertson, Adam Johnson (Denille), Deana Robinson (Chris) and Daniel Maiolo.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Dover First Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will resume January 13, 2022 at 12:00 pm and continue until the funeral service at 1:00 pm at Dover First Church of the Nazarene with Bro. David Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow at Heflin Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers are Michael Ward, Justin Ward, Garren Robertson, Michael Nolen, Grant Redmon and Randy Robertson. Honorary pallbearers are Cathy Ward, Abby Shope, Seth Shope and Ella Robertson.
