Mrs. Betty Ann Gibbs, age 77 of Dover, TN was called home to be with the Lord May 2, 2022 at Tennova Healthcare, Clarksville, TN. She was born October 31, 1944 the beloved daughter of the late Stanley and Virginia Wofford. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and loyal friend to many. She enjoyed serving others and was active in her community. She was the first elected female County Commissioner of Stewart County, served over 20 years on the Bi-County Solid Waste Board, served over 15 years on the Stewart County Election Commission Board and enjoyed many years with the women of the Red Hatters. She was a faithful servant and loved the Lord. She was a member of Fort Donelson United Methodist Church and was an active member of the United Methodist Women.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Bertie Knott.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Eugene Gibbs; son, Bronson Gibbs of Dover, TN; daughter, JoAnn Hicks of Clarksville, TN; grandson, Adam (Lindsey) Hicks and great-granddaughter, Adair Hicks. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Mr. Binks.

Visitation will be Friday, May 6, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 10:00 am and continue until the hour of the funeral service at 11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Thomas Dowdy officiating. Burial will follow at Stewart County Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
