Rev. Aquila Penrod, age 88, of Clarksville, TN, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at Clarksville Nursing and Rehab. He was born, February 5, 1930 in Cypress, IL, son of the late Elijah and Mary Felker Penrod. Rev. Penrod was an ordained minister for over 70 years. He was the minister of Bethel Church of God, and also worked in upholstery and carpentry.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Ronald Penrod, daughters, Rosemary Meadows and Christine King, daughter-in-law, Kim Penrod, grandchildren, Christopher Steele, Shawn Rico, and James Penrod, two brothers, and five sisters.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lois Penrod, son, Jimmy Penrod, Clarksville, TN, daughter, Priscilla Bailey (Terry), Big Rock, TN, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, Jagger and Levi.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Bethel Church of God, with Pastor Robert Neece officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service Thursday at the Bethel Church of God. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery, Big Rock, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be Ethan Williams, Mickey Bailey, Michael King, Dale Higgs, Terry Bailey, and John Furgess.
