Obituary for Amos Lloyd Sward
Amos Lloyd Sward, a proud veteran of the United States Army, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 in Cumberland City, TN at the age of 43. He was born October 18, 1979 in Galesburg, IL, son of David Sward and Loretta Boughton Honeycutt.
Amos proudly served 20 years in the United States Army. He enlisted in 1999. Before retirement in 2019, he was promoted to Sergeant Major with The Asymmetric Warfare Group (AWG) assigned to the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, KY.
Amos was a beloved father, son, brother, and uncle who will be greatly missed.
Amos is survived by his children, Amos Lloyd Sward, Jr., Kyler Kaiden Sward, Milo Morrow, and Alexia Grace Sward; father, David Sward, step-mother Carla Krohn, mother, Loretta Boughton Honeycutt (Randy), brother, Arlie Sward (Amy); sisters, Angie Sward, Amber Sward (Jeremiah), and Stephanie Fleming; former spouse, Jenn Sward; in-laws, George and Terri Bowers; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service with military honors will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Anglin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday. The service will be livestreamed on facebook.com from the account of Arlie Sward, beginning approximately 5 minutes prior to the service.
