Betty Elizabeth Armstrong, age 88, of Dover, TN, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 at Clarksville Nursing and Rehab. She was born August 3, 1930 in Stewart County, TN, daughter of the late Alonzo and Ruth Wilson Austin. Mrs. Armstrong was a member of the Wyatt Chapel United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, James Gordon Armstrong, brother, William Austin, sisters, Ruby Peacher, Lois Decker, and Lorraine Caseldine, and one grandchild.
Survivors include her sons, Mike Armstrong (Debbie), Dover, TN, Bobby Armstrong (Deana), Indianapolis, IN, daughter, Debbie Albright (Tony), Clarksville, TN, six grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Heflin Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 6:00 pm on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Anglin Funeral Home and from 11:00 am until the time of service on Monday.
Pallbearers will be Tony Albright, Terry Austin, Greg Bagwell, Billy Caseldine, Deryk Wyatt, Robert Griffey, Eric Kimsey, and Ty Armstrong.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Clarksville Nursing and Rehab for all their help and kindness during the last few years.
